Current Design Team

In October of 2008, a design proposal officially submitted by the SmithGroup (Detroit office) for the schematic design of the building and exhibits for the NHMSC was accepted by a review committee formed by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development on behalf of the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road District Board of Commissioners.

The SmithGroup, an architectural/engineering firm teamed with Eisterhold Associates, an exhibit design firm to begin researching and defining the storyline and then schematically designing the exhibits and the building of the NHMSC. Schematic design work began in January of 2009 and will continue through 2010.
